Welcome to the first episode of Doodle Your Dreams with Diane Bleck. Let's dive right in and get to know each other a little more. In this first episode, I will take you back seven years ago when I started to dream about creating something new called, "The Doodle Institute." I was a single mom and should have been trying to find what I call a "jobby job". But instead, I had this crazy idea to do something totally NEW and I knew I need to follow my creative heart.
Today I want to share with you why I investing in my heart first was the best decision I could make as a single mother. One of the first things I did as a single mother was join a yoga studio. And I did not just sign up for a class for myself. I signed up so I could go with my children. It was the biggest part of my budget at the time, but those yoga classes allowed me to focus on my heart, mind and body. And through those classes, I met the most amazing life coach, Allison Crow and followed her all the way to Mexico to learn about intuitive painting.
In this episode, I's sharing with you the details of my arrival in Mexico for a week of intuitive painting with Allison Crow, the best life coach ever. I can't wait for you to hear about the beautiful prayer quilt I made especially for this trip, my reaction to there being no agenda for this event and how I listened to my heart and went outside to dance in the moonlight. This is a good one!
In this episode, I want to share with you the story of meeting Rafael Bejarano and wonderful conversation we had around a quiet kitchen table in Mexico. And after just a few moments, I felt like he knew my heart and soul's work. This conversation is what I needed to hear to encourage me to keep going with my dream of building the Doodle Institute and hopefully transforming lives around the world.
Launching your own book and self-publishing is easier than you think. But how will you market it, how will you sell it. When I launched my first book on Amazon, I went all in with a book tour, book signing and even stopping along the way to gift a copy of my book to my High School. Thanks to all my family, friends and early followers we even hit the Top 10 List for New Releases on Amazon. I can't wait for you to hear this story.
As you can imagine as a Mom, Business Owner and Online instructor sometimes getting my work done does not go according to plan. I found this cute recording in my archives and decided it would be fun to share with you a little impromptu storytelling with Jack and the One Little Dinosaur.
